National Lecture Series
Our National Lecture Series is presented by Karen Koogler. Programs
are based on two and three hour presentations, but can be modified to
suit your specific time frame.
Professional Ethics
Successful 21st Century organizations recognize the importance of
honoring those with whom they conduct business, by focusing on values
that support the common good, and engendering trust in both personal
and professional relationships. Organizations with a Five-Star Best
Practices approach to business recognize the importance of clearly
communicating their core business values in both word and deed.
The course addresses the components for establishing a Code of
Business Conduct and Ethics and utilizing it to promote an ongoing
discussion of ethics and values, and their impact on bottom line profitability.
The importance of the Code is not in the document, itself, but in the
dialogue it promotes between Company Members. The 2008
Title Insurance Consumer Initiative — A Professional Ethics Course
includes a review of ALTA’s The Title Industry Consumer Initiative
and Principles of Fair Conduct.
Regulatory Compliance
The course covers national regulatory matters including:
- RESPA Section 8
- RESPA Section 9
- HUD Statements of Policy
- The GAO Report
- The GLB Privacy Act and Safeguards Rule
Five-Star Best Practices
The course begins with an introduction into industry trends and challenges,
then focuses on solutions through implementation of a Five-Star Best
Practices approach to doing business:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Professional Ethics
- Extreme Customer Care
- Intra-Industry Cooperation
- Commitment to Personal Excellence
