FinCEN Educational Support is Step 4 in the Layered-Learning Process.
From our vantage point, if you successfully complete Steps 1-2-3, you should require very little (if any) Educational Support (Step 4). But it is there if you need it. More specifically, Karen is there if you need her!
Think of it as having your own Private (Virtual) Tutor. Karen has been answering email-based questions from students, readers, and assorted industry strangers for the majority of her 50-year career as an industry educator. During ‘peak periods’ – like the 2008 RESPA Final Rule and 2015 TRID Final Rule – Karen was answering 100 or more student emails per week. While that might not seem like a lot is because, as she warns students, “there are no simple ‘yes or no’ answers!”
That’s the reason she provides educational consulting services by email – so she can provide not only a ‘real world’ response but, also, the regulatory references that go along with it.
