The FinCEN Final Rule Self-Study Program is Step 1 in the Layered-Learning Process.
The Flashcard-Based Review, presented as a PowerPoint slideshow, is all about the CONTENT of the Rule. There is no audio with the Self-Study Program, as it is designed for you to read and familiarize yourself with the CONTENT. The purpose of formatting the Rule in bite-sized pieces is to allow you to learn without feeling panicked or rushed.
There are several Sections of the Self-Study Program. You are encouraged to follow the prepared format, as later Sections build upon earlier Sections.
There are Program Handouts stored on our Training Portal, which you may view online or print a copy for your personal use when studying.
Speaking of Program Handouts, Karen has color-coded everything – including the FinCEN Final Rule itself – to enhance readability and aid comprehension. If you are printing a copy for your personal use, please print on a color printer. You will be glad you did!
Don’t worry if the CONTENT seems confusing. This is only Step 1 in the Layered Learning Process.
You are not expected to understand what you are reading – especially if you are new to regulatory compliance in general, or the FinCEN Final Rule itself. That is where Step 2 of the Layered-Learning Process comes into play. Once you have completed the Self-Study Program, your next step is to take Layered Learning Step 2: FinCEN 101 Your Guide to Success, An Immersive Instructor-Led Program. That’s when Karen shows up – in a virtual, online, on-demand sort of way – to put CONTENT into CONTEXT.
